The Coffeevine June 18 Box Preview

Now it’s finally time to write about the Coffeevine June 18 box, in this post I will write a few short posts about each coffee, where the coffee roaster is from, where the coffee comes from and my expectations about the coffee itself.

1) Lot Sixty One, Netherlands.
Personal cupping and recipe

Origin: Burundi
Variety:  Bourbon
Farm: Buziraguhindwa
Region: Kayanza
Process: Washed
Altitude: –

Cupping notes:
Fruity, tobacco & pineapple.

Expectation: This sounds amazing, I have a beard balm that is supposed to have a tobacco tone and it’s really nice. I don’t smoke at all, but that “sweet tobacco” smell is so mild and to die for? If this can taste close to the feeling I get, then I’m wonderfully pleased!

2) Bailies Coffee Roaster, Northern Ireland
Personal cupping and recipe

Origin: Brasilien
Variety: Mundo Novo
Farm: Bocaina
Region: Poco Fundo
Process: Natural
Altitude: 1 255 meters above sea level.

Cupping notes:
Praline, spicy rum & roasted hazelnuts.

Expectation: “A more mature coffee” is my first thought, a coffee that’s perfect for a sweet espresso or as a crispy breakfast coffee. I only expect a stable and good cup of coffee.

3) Illimité, Slovakia.
Personal cupping and recipe

Origin: El Salvador
Variety: Pacas
Farm: Finca La Montañita
Region: San Juanill, Masaguara, Intibuca
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 700 meters above sea level.

Cupping notes:
Caramel with lemon-lime, sweet, citric and smooth.

Expectation: This sounds really good, I expect an acidic coffee with a lasting sweetness, I believe in this a lot!

Conclusion: As usual this will be very exciting to see which coffee roaster will win in this The Coffeevine June box 18.

Unlike last month that was: “On the other hand, it’s not going to be as fun this month, it got a bit nuisance so we’re reviewing two coffee bags this time.”, we will instead have three beautiful bags to review!

We will divide this so that the Coffeevine week will become two weeks instead, you can easily try the coffee with me and look forward to the next post! We’ll review and drink some awesome coffees from these three different countries; Burundi, Brazil and El Salvador. I’m up for it!
