Kaffefamiljen – Kaffenytt 1st Edition

Yes! It’s finally time for my own tailored coffee from Kaffefamiljen roasted by no less than Costas Rosteri! It has been very exciting and just lovely to begin this amazing relationship with Kaffefamiljen, a företag that has the potential to be as huge as they want! The only problem is that not every coffee drinker in the world know of them, so let’s hope that my two posts can open a few eyes!

As I wrote in the previous Kaffefamiljen post:

“Once again it’s time for a special post. I got the opportunity to try the coffee from Kaffefamiljen, they also gave me the option to customize my own coffee after my preferences. So I did, in addition to my tailored made coffee, I got one of their own recommendations. We will begin by reviewing the recommended coffee and save my tailored made for later!

The idea that Kaffefamiljen bring is really interesting for every coffee lover and I believe that everyone should try to customize their own coffee. It’s intriguing and amusing to use the sliders so you get the tones of the coffee that you want. The coffee is later roasted by Costas Rosteri, which is one of Swedens most famous roasters. I’ll write more thoroughly when I’ll review my own customized coffee. Let’s talk about Kaffefamiljens Kenya Single Origin!”

Review: I am very surprised at how well the coffee smelled in advance. It’s something special to see its name on a coffee bag that only enjoys one with joy. As a coffee lover, everyone has this opportunity by ordering their custom coffee from the coffee family! What a great idea!

If we go through the text from Costas Rosteri and Kaffefamiljen the coffee is described as:

“This coffee has a creaminess and round mouthfeel with sweet notes”

Origin about the coffee, in addition to what’s written above:

“100% Nicaragua De La Noche – Good body, chocolate, balanced.”

The coffee is very balanced with a nice taste of chocolate, that’s what I had as hopes. A coffee that does not run in any way but has a traditional coffee feeling stuck with incredibly high quality! That’s exactly what I want to emphasize so many coffee drinkers who drink a regular coffee from grocery stores can make a smooth transfer to specialty coffee and then this coffee is a great start!

The roast is very even which gives the one who brews the coffee the same result every time, this is very important. You want to be able to be exact while adjusting your recipe to perfection so you can find that recipe that suits you!

So what is the best way to brew this coffee?
My motivation for the notes I searched for in my coffee was that it would fit the majority of coffee drinkers, regardless of brewing method, the coffee should taste good and never be too acidic, sweet and so on. The coffee should simply taste good and stable. That’s why it works as well as espresso, coffee press, pour-over, Aeropress or regular coffee filter machine. So my advice is that you brew according to the method you are most confident with and you will get a delicious cup of coffee with tones of chocolate!
