Now it’s finally time to write about the Coffeevine’s August 18 box, in this post I will write a few short posts about each coffee, where the coffee roaster is from, where the coffee comes from and my expectations about the coffee itself.

1) Outpost Coffee, England.
Personal cupping and recipe available 2018-09-30

Origin: Colombia
Variety: Tabi
Farm: Juan Saldarriaga
Region: Antioquia
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 400 – 1 800 meters above sea level.

Cupping notes:
Black Cherry, Cola & Floral.

Expectation: This sounds like an amazing coffee, a sweet and powerful Colombian. I believe that with this description (above) I’ll be very satisfied while I cup the coffee.

2) Kaffa Roastery, Finland.
Personal cupping and recipe available 2018-10-

Origin: Burundi
Variety: Bourbon & Typica
Farm: Shimu Hii
Region: Kayanza
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 780 meters above sea level

Cupping notes:
Sweet & Dark Berries.

Expectation: There’s been a lot of coffee from Burundi, but this time the description is a bit different. So in this one it has a profile with a sweetness and dark berries, it sounds a bit like the coffee above “Black cherry”. I think this will be a good washed processed coffee!

3) La Cabra, Denmark.
Personal cupping and recipe available 2018-10-

Origin: Guatemala
Variety: Bourbon
Farm: Ana Ramirez
Region: Huehuetenango
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 750 meters above sea level

Cupping notes:
Peach, Caramel & Tea.

Expectation: La Cabra are well respected in the Scandinavia and I’ve actually tried them before in a KaffeBox month review (click here to read it). What they showed me was great quality with a beautiful box. Another description is: “Sweet peach liqueur, moving towards oolong tea, before a full bodied caramel finish.”

Conclusion: As usual this will be very exciting to see which coffee roastery will win in this The Coffeevine’s August box 18. Now we are back to three varieties unlike last months which had four, it will be exciting to see which coffee wins!

We will divide this so that the Coffeevine week will become two weeks instead, you can easily try the coffee with me and look forward to the next post! We’ll review and drink some awesome coffees from these three different countries; Bolivia, Ethiopia and two different coffees from Colombia. Let’s see who wins out of these four coffees.
